2024 Day Camp - REGISTRATION

NOTE: Registration fee will increase to $50 after May 19!!!

Summer Camp for youth ages 5-12 from 7:30am-5:30pm Monday thru Friday. Participants will do activities at the rec center, participate in the Sylacauga Library Summer Reading Program and go on some field trips...TBA.

You must preregister (Memberships), fill out forms, and pay the $40.00 registration fee before paying tuition online. This will greatly speed up the process of dropping your off your child on the first day.

Note:

We are so excited for Day Camp 2024! We have some fun things planned, and I think you and your children will be pleased with the activities we have organized this summer. We wanted to provide some important information and reminders as you prepare to send your camper(s)...

TUITION: Tuition is $20 per day or $90 per week. This cost is per child. We are no longer offering half-days or multi-child discounts. Your children are welcome to come as often as you like! You decide when they come, but of course we would love to see them as frequently as you’ll allow them to attend! You can pay tuition in person at the front desk with cash, check (made payable to SPARD), or credit card. You can also pay over-the-phone or online with a credit card.

LATE FEES: Our weekly schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 5:30PM. If you are LATE picking up your child, a late fee in the amount of $5 per 15 minutes will be added to your account which must be paid the next day your child attends camp. Every minute you are late, we have to pay our counselors. Please be timely! We appreciate your help with this.

FOOD: Please provide a sack lunch, snacks, and drinks to send with your child each day. We do have a drink machine should they want a soda, Powerade, or bottle of water. The cost is $1.75-$2.00 depending on the beverage. We also have a filtered water bottle system! If you would like to send your camper with a reusable water bottle/canteen, they are welcome to fill it up/refill it here. We do ask if you send them with one of these, please be sure they have some sort of lid.

SAFETY: All of our Day Camp instructors have gone through orientation and are now CPR certified!

CELL PHONES: As a reminder, campers are not permitted to be on their cell phones during camp. Please call the office should you need to contact them. 256.249.8561

MEDICATION: If your child has medication that they need to take while at camp, please fill out a medication form when you arrive and give the medication to the Camp Director with the completed form. SCHEDULE: You will receive a weekly schedule to be sent home the Friday prior to the camp week with a more detailed look at what is expected each day. Obviously, these schedules are subject to change based on the weather and the need of the campers. We will notify you of such changes as efficiently as possible.

HOLIDAYS: We will be closed June 19 and July 4. We will not have camp on those days.

T-SHIRTS: We will be ordering your camper a T-shirt to be used for our day-trips. This helps us keep track of all of our campers. This comes out of your registration fee, so that is not an additional cost to you. NOTE: Those who register after the first week of July are not guaranteed a T-shirt due to order turnaround times.
