The Sylacauga Parks and Recreation Day Camp will be taking a field trip to the McWane Science Center in Birmingham on Friday, July 18. We can only carry a total of 65 kids on this field trip. If you would like for your child to attend, please register no later than July 15. Please note that registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once the trip is full, you can add your child to the waitlist, and if we have any cancellations, we will let you know. Students who do not attend the field trip should not attend camp this day as all counselors will be on the field trip. Tickets are $17 per child - we will be attending the Adventure Hall and the IMAX. Tuition should still be paid in addition to the field trip cost so that we can compensate our counselors. Campers will need to be at camp no later than 8:00 AM on this day. We will depart by 8:30 AM and return no later than 4:00 PM. Please send a lunchbox with food that does not need to be heated up and a water bottle. Make sure your child's name is on all personal items. Please also send your camper in their day camp t-shirts. If they do not have a day camp t-shirt, please send your camper in a yellow shirt.
