Sylacauga Parks and Recreation is excited to host “Fishin’ with Dad,” a family-friendly fishing tournament celebrating Father’s Day (a week early). The event invites dads and children of all ages to enjoy quality time together outdoors.
The tournament will be held at Lake Howard on Saturday, June 13, from 6:30 AM until 10:00 AM. Weigh-in will take place promptly at 10:00 AM. Prizes will be awarded for Biggest Bass, Biggest Panfish (bluegill, crappie, and yellow perch), and Biggest Catfish.
Free Chick-fil-A biscuits will be provided to the first 20 participants to arrive. Guests may launch a boat or fish from the bank or pier.
Registration is completely free; however, participants are encouraged to pre-register at sylacauga.recdesk.com. Only one person per family needs to complete registration.
Participants must follow all Alabama fishing regulations. Additional event rules and weigh-in procedures will be provided at check-in.
